Oceanart is a photographic gallery managed and owned by Greg and Soula McCarthy and is dedicated to the art of photography in and around the ocean, its coastlines, beaches, wildlife, surfing and all forms of ocean sport.

The gallery contains a range of images photographed by Greg McCarthy. The images are photographed using a medium format Pentax 6 x 7 cm and a Fuji panoramic 6 x 17 cm cameras as well as standard format Canon EOS 1V 35 mm film cameras. Some of our more recent images have been photographed with Canon EOS 1Ds MkII 16.3 megapixel & 1Ds MkIII 21 megapixel DSLRs. Our film images are scanned using our Imacon (Hasselblad) Flextight 646 virtual drum scanner. When shooting in the ocean we use Aquatech waterhousings.

We will shortly begin showing images by a range of other photographers with a similar passion for ocean photography when we launch our new gallery and image library in early 2008. In the mean time we have included some sample images from Simon Williams who has recently joined the Oceanart Gallery

We are the Original Australian Ocean Art Gallery.

All images are printed at PhotoKing Professional on Kodak paper using a Durst Lambda 130. Our Images are framed at Art & Mirror Framing.
